Housed within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Committee on Social Science Research complements the work of the Office of Social Science Research to improve the basic infrastructure for and raise the visibility of social science research at the university.

The LAS-CSSR is committed to supporting the research of faculty in the social sciences to ensure that they are successful in writing, obtaining, and executing grants through a variety of functions, including resources to support external grant proposals and workshops to support knowledge sharing and community building.
